Trail is in great shape! Only 1 downed tree at mile 1.7. No snow on the trail. The snowfield near the saddle, which normally covers the trail at this time of year, has almost melted completely and the wildflowers are peaking as you approach the saddle. Like always, Quartz Trail can be indistinct as it crosses the tundra, but there are cairns. There is only about 1cfs flowing out of Quartz Lake, and the water temperature isn't too startling.
