Divide Lakes - Pine River - Granite Lake

      in Trail Conditions

Only a couple trees down from Poison Park to Divide Lakes. There's no sign where the Divide Lakes trail leaves the Weminuche Trail (mile 7.8). From Divide Lakes, I dropped down to the Pine River. Just before I reached the valley floor, there was a Granite Lake sign next to a faint trail leading North. I bypassed it because my map showed another Granite Lake trail taking off from the Pine River about a mile upstream. Was unable to find the 2nd Granite Lake Trail so I bushwhacked up the Granite Lake drainage until I intersected the 1st Granite Lake Trail. There's not much of a trail around the southeast side of the lake, which is where the Weminuche Trail connector is located. Once I reached the Weminuche Trail, there were about a dozen large trees down between the Granite Lake and Divide Lake trail junctions.
